| From Bletchley Road to Queensway is a project that looks back over the decades at the people and businesses that have occupied premises in what became Bletchley's main shopping street. So many evocative and poignant memories are stirred by these photos and names. The street plans and images have been sourcesd from our archive and the local press. Perhaps you can add to the record that has been created. Wanted - A town Centre. One of our volunteers was fascinated by the changes that have affected Bletchley over the years. She researched some of the significant plans, some of which actually reached the building stage, and the reactions to them in the local press. What's your view on how Bletchley has developed? Could things have been done better? Let us know what you think. In June we will be celebrating 50 years of swimming and leisure since the Queen's Pool opened in 1958. |

| We've held two exhibitions of local football photographs and programmes in the last six months. These have been collected in support of the Living Archive's 'History of Football in Milton Keynes' project and the material collected will be available in the BCHI digital archive. | ||||||||||||||||||||

| Volunters at BCHI researched and collected memories of Bletchley Schools. With the help of the Milton Keynes Heritage Association's HLF Website project the volunteers created a comprehensive website about the History of Several Schools in the Bletchley and Fenny Stratford Area. The site can be viewed at Milton Keynes Heritage Association (or via the link on the left). | BCHI and Living Archive conducted a two year LHI Project to restore the Denbigh Hall Railway Plaque and research and compile a history of the Railway and its effect on Bletchley culminating in the production of a website, book and exhibition panels. During this time we interviewed over 40 people for their memories, incorporated a Down Memory Lane Event, with exhibtions from LNWR Society, Milton Keynes Railway Model Society, Bletchley Park, Blue Lagoon, Bletchley Archaeological & Historical Society, Bletchley Senior School Reunion committee and several private collections. The BCHI also worked with two local schools to record the memories of people who have been involved with the Railway and created four magnificent Banners, two of which are on display in Bletchley Library. The BCHI launched a new and improved Railway website at an exhibition in July 2006 at the Living Archive's headquarters in Old Bath House, Wolverton.
