New attraction for town's busy shoppers

Co-op Self-service shop
An attractive feature was added to Bletchley's quickly growing shopping facilities on Saturday when the Bletchley Co-operative Society's new self-service grocery shop in Bletchley Road was opened. A considerable crowd collected to witness the opening ceremony performed by the Society's President, Mr J H Goodwin, and there was an augmented staff to deal with the opening rush of customers.
Bakery motto will be 'Look no hands!'

It has been built by the North Bucks Cooperative Federation Ltd to serve the increasing demands of the Bletchley, Aylesbury, Wolverton and Newport Pagnell for standard bread. Once it is in production, all those societies will cease to produce their own standard bread.in their own individual bakeries...
