The first shop to be built specially for the Co-op in Bletchley was opened in Albert Street in early 1886. The Drapery, Butchery, Boot & Outfitting Departments were all completed by 1902.

The 1949 Armistice Parade passes the Drapery Department building, opened in 1927, which had been burned out following an arson attack.

When the west end of Queensway was remodelled in the early 1970s, the Co-op department store was one of the focal points in the newly created Stanier Square. The Closing Down sale posters can bee seen in this 2006 photograph.
