In 1934, the Society celebrated its fiftieth anniversary - its Jubilee - and a special souvenir booklet was produced.
"We have to get to the top of the hills looming in front of us before we can look down into the valley of our dreams."
These lines, which introduce the Jubilee Souvenir, were written by a well known Southern Co-operator and they were used to illustrate the struggles facing the Bletchley Society and the ideals they were working towards.
The souvenir goes on to describe the development of the local society over the preceding 50 years and gives recognition to those who had guided that development.
The first profit, in June 1884, is stated as £42 while the Capital Account of 1934 showed a trade stock of £10,135 and a disposable balance amounting to £4438.
The document also summarises the activities of both the Women's Co-operative Guild and the Educational Committee.
