Funding Secured for Eastern Entrance
The Government is investing £17m in a new eastern entrance at Bletchley Station – something that has long been campaigned for by Milton Keynes City Council, Bletchley and Fenny Stratford Town Council, West Bletchley Parish Council, resident groups, and the MP Callum Anderson who has documented accessibility issues and raised this consistently with parliament and key ministers.
Milton Keynes City Council has also committed up to £5m if needed, to contribute to improving access and supporting Bletchley’s future. The new link to Queensway will make journeys easier by bringing more people into Bletchley town centre (Queensway), and supporting local businesses.

It builds on East West Rail developments for Bletchley station and will help attract jobs, visitors and investment, strengthening Bletchley and Fenny Stratford as a well-connected place to live and work. This is a key step in the Milton Keynes City Council 2050 Vision for a more vibrant Bletchley town centre, with Town Deal funded improvements already underway along Queensway to make it more welcoming.
New Digital Walking Tour ‘Station to Station’
A new digital walking tour between Bletchley Station and Fenny Stratford Station is now available for residents and visitors to the town to explore new areas of Bletchley with information collated through the Living Archive project. The tour is 1 mile long and takes around 2 hours to complete if walking.

Test Train Completes Journey
A test train successfully completed its first run between Oxford and Milton Keynes in October 2024.

Connection Stage One of the project includes the introduction of services from Oxford to Bletchley and Milton Keynes with the aim of the first passenger services starting in 2025. Services will better connect passengers and will have the potential to help unlock economic growth and create new opportunities across the region.
With the Chancellor Rachel Reeves confirming the Government’s commitment to East West Railway, it’s full steam ahead for the new connections coming to Bletchley!
Marston Vale Line
A full Marston Vale Line timetable resumed on Monday 19th February with 17 trains running daily in each direction.
