Come along to see the changing face of Bletchley high street (Queensway) over the decades, and bring along any photos or articles you have showing how it’s changed in the last century to add to the living archive project.

The face of Bletchley town centre is changing with the new Town Deal £23m funding and works due to begin in autumn 2025. Come and speak with the MKCC Town Deal Project team at the event and find out more about the changes coming soon!

Buildings of Bletchley Park - fully booked

Join Bletchley Park historians Dr David Kenyon and Dr Thomas Cheetham to find out more about the diverse architecture of Bletchley Park, from Sir Herbert Leon's extravagant Mansion to the austere huts and blocks of World War Two. Find out how buildings were adapted or built to meet the needs of the Codebreakers and their important secret work, and how the site expanded to meet the needs of the growing workforce.

War Graves Cemetery Tour - Manor Road Bletchley

Manor Road Cemetery, Fenny Stratford, Bletchley, MK2 2HW

The cemetery is the final resting place of 22 casualties from both world wars, many of whom were from the Bletchley and Fenny Stratford area. Amongst those casualties are Gunner William Munday, Royal Field Artillery, who was awarded the Military Medal in 1918 and Flying Officer Leslie Smith, 218 Squadron, RAF who received the Distinguished Flying Cross in the second world war.

St Mary's Church 400 years of construction

St Mary's Church, Church Green Road, Bletchley, Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, MK3 6BJ

St Mary’s Church is a Grade 1 listed building and has architectural features from many centuries, including the Norman archway, medieval tomb and 19th century-stained glass windows.

Find the medieval graffiti and the stonemason marks inside or visit our churchyard and discover the architectural symbolism on our Victorian gravestones.
Take a self-guided tour of the Commonwealth War Graves memorials to local fallen servicemen.

The church is a member of the Quiet Garden Movement, so why not sit and reflect in our quiet spaces? Refreshments will be served on both days. No booking required. Tours are self-guided, and volunteers will be available to help on request.

9:10am - Start of Remembrance Sunday Ceremony

Remembrance Parade

Bletchley Park and St Mary’s Church, West Bletchley.

Local residents are invited to come together to remember those who have died for our freedom and those who continue to suffer from their injuries due to war. The parade is organised in partnership with The Royal British Legion, West Bletchley Council , St Mary’s Church and Bletchley Park.

PARADE DETAILS

From Bletchley Park to the war memorial off Church Green Road.

10:30am     Parade begin march to war memorial

11am      Silence, bell-ringing and wreath laying ceremony at war memorial

11:30am      St Mary's Church Open for Refreshments and Information on War Graves

Thank you for being a part of the West Bletchley Remembrance Day Parade, the Royal British Legion invites you to their Clubhouse on Melrose Avenue for refreshments and St Mary’s Church, off Church Green will be open directly after the service for tea and cakes.

Please note: Parade participants will not be permitted re-entry back into Bletchley Park after the parade. No available parking at Wilton Hall or the DVLA for public members. For groups, parking permits will be distributed to allow parking and drop off at Bletchley Park. Road closure on Church Green Road.
